How to: Frizz-Free Set

Frizz.
It's that word. The Grinch to Christmas. The rain to a picnic day. The termite to books. There's probably nothing more relatable as a struggle than a frizzy hair.
Of course, frizz is something that we already expect one in a while since our textured hair is prone to dryness. It's normal but it also doesn't mean that there is nothing you can do about it!
Worry not because your bad hair day can be turned into your best one yet 😉
What you need? Food for your hair! And a healthy one at that.
Deep conditioner is meant to provide that extra boost of moisture and nourishment so your curls get the love it deserve!
Here we list the steps how to use the deep conditioner:
  1. Apply to clean hair

Clean hair absorbs deep conditioner better so make sure to apply it to curls after using a sulfate-free shampoo or co-wash.

  1. Leave from 30 mins to 1 hr

Let the deep conditioner sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour before rinsing off. Focus on applying to your ends.

Tip: While letting it sit, you can use a shower cap and apply heat (blow dry or the steam from hot shower) for better absorption.

  1. Use it 3-5 times a month

If you are wavy, you may need less deep conditioning as it may cause you to over moisturize and weigh down your hair. On the other hand, if you have tighter curls or coils, you need to deep condition at least once a week.

Protect your curls from frizz and damage using our curl-designed silk scarves. Silk is beneficial for curly hair for many reasons. Unlike cotton, silk doesn't absorb too much moisture from your hair so it keeps your curls moisturized.

  • EXTRA TIP: Silk Scarf

Pampering your curls doesn't end with your wash routine! There's a lot of ~things~ out there that sometimes just spoil the entire mood 🙄 (i.e. dust, humidity, pollution).

Protect your curls with something that not only keeps it free from frizz but also levels up your entire look! Yes, silk scarf is that THING.

Silk is a heaven-sent material and see here why (TLDR: it keeps your curls moisturized)

Plus, the scarf is multi-functional tool! You can style it in different ways. Wear it as a bandana, a head wrap, or a hair tie. Check out our lookbook to see how our curlies wore it in different ways.

We hope this helps you, curlies! Remember--listen to what your curls need!
